Stand Alone DVD Recorders...

In the U.S. DVD Recorders typically sell for between $500-900 dollars and they work like a conventional VCR.

My two biggest complaints are the titling options provided that I have seen are PATHETIC, and sometimes DVD's recorded in the 1 hour speed won't play in other DVD machines. (although the 2 hour speed seems to playback fine in other machines)

Is anyone using stand alone DVD Recorders?

I got panasonic t2020 dvd recorder. It is a good machine that can play most dvd player since i do this for my business with customer. No one complain since it is 90 percent compatiablity. However, might be a disc that could not playback on other machine although the better dvd to hack to play on other dvd player. I never try it as I understood from my good friend. It is all about disc itself. I have no idea.
